Dr. Saad was born in Palestine but he was raised in Kuwait. Born into a family with eight total children, Dr. Saad had a lot to live up to from a very young age. Still, it wasn’t sibling rivalry that pushed Dr. Saad to become the pediatric legend that he is today, it was his own desire to get away from the soul-crushing heat that was so common in Kuwait.

With average temperatures sitting in the ’90s and booming up to 110 degrees on a hot day, Dr. Saad wanted to work somewhere where the air was on all of the time. The only place he could think of as a child was the doctor’s office. Dr. Saad is half-joking when he says air conditioning inspired him to become a pediatrician, but there is half-truth to it as well.

In order to become the pediatric surgeon that we know today, Dr. Saad went through great lengths to get the education that he would need. He graduated from Cairo University, located in Egypt, with honors atop his class.

Dr. Saad interned in Engand before making his way to the United States nearly 45 years ago. Once in the U.S., Dr. Saad would learn from Dr. H Biemann Othersen, someone who he considers to be the greatest surgeon in the field today.

For Dr. Saad, all of this work came about because he knew what he wanted out of life and he refused from the very beginning to settle for less. That, Dr. Saad believes, is the most important concept aspiring entrepreneurs could take home.
