Kaballah Centre Los Angeles is the Focus of a New Religious Movement

The civilized world is moving away from the established religions. In Europe, Japan, England, and the United States of America, the trend away from popular religions evident. People from the named countries are defining themselves as “spiritual but not religious.” Agnosticism and Atheism are both on the rise. Evangelical and fringe Christianity like churches that advocate snake handling and speaking in tongues have a hold on their members, while the generation of hippies that advocated Yoga and vegetarianism remain outside the folds of churches.

There are and will be educated, spiritual people who are looking for something else. Many have been drawn toward the Kabbalah form Judaism. Celebrities and artists have been intrigued by the idea of the Kaballah and going to a Kaballah Center to learn more and study the necessary materials.

The Kaballah Center in Los Angeles is the headquarters for the Kaballah Centre International that provides courses on the Kaballah. Phillip Berg and his wife, Karen, were the founders of this movement that focuses on complex teachings formerely only available to Rabbis.

Recently, JerusalemOnline, reported on the number of celebrities flocking to a Kaballah Center to join this new movement that has roots tracing back 5000 years. The article focused on the number of non-Jewish artists and celebrities joining movement. Paris Hilton, Britney Spears, Madonna, Sandra Bernhard are or have been members. Formerly Elizabeth Taylor, Marilyn Monroe, Sammy Davis Jr., all had interests in the Kaballah movement. Sammy Davis Jr. and Elizabeth Taylor had both converted to Judaism. The lure of the Kaballah Center seems to be in part based on the inadequacies of Christianity and seeking more profound religion with a long history and a deep sense of both family and spirituality.
